Denture solutions from Basic to Advanced Options
Unsecured dentures
The most inexpensive option is unsecured dentures. However, these can be uncomfortable, make chewing certain foods difficult, and may even affect your speech.
Implant bars
A more advanced solution is an overdenture on an implant bar. This approach involves anchoring a bar in the jawbone to provide strong support for a removable denture, which can be taken out for cleaning and requires no adhesives.
All-on-four-implants
The closest option to natural teeth is the All-on-Four dental implants. This procedure provides a full set of fixed teeth in just one day.
The All-on-Four process begins with careful planning and a CT scan of the jawbone, offering a clear, 3D image of bone density. Next, impressions of the jaws, photos of the face and teeth, and precise jawline measurements are taken to model the new teeth perfectly.
In a single-day procedure, implants are placed, followed by acrylic temporary teeth that look and feel natural. After about six months, the implants fully integrate with the jawbone. The screw-retained immediate bridge serves as a temporary solution initially.
While a stronger zirconia bridge is recommended eventually, many patients choose to keep the acrylic bridge longer, which requires more frequent check-ups and maintenance. The final teeth, made from zirconia, offer durability and closely mimic the look and feel of natural teeth.
